After almost 3 weeks of practice for the middle school football program it has been decided to cancel the 2019 season. This decision was not made easily and we had hoped more students would turnout this year. The most significant factors for the decision are low participation numbers and only one other school in our league fielding a team. There have been many discussions at the league level and with our D-W Football Coaching Staff as to how we can support football teams in the future. We will continue the discussions and work to provide opportunities for our students. D- W Football will be back next year for grades 7-8. The participation numbers at the high school level are very good this year and encouraging for the future of the program Thank-you to the students and parents for their commitment to our athletic programs and support as we have worked through this difficult decision.
