The Waitsburg School District Board of Directors has announced they will interview applicants for the open position of Superintendent of Schools.

Applicants will be interviewed this week Wednesday March 5 and Thursday March 6 beginning at 4:30 in the Waitsburg Elementary School Library.  The public is welcome to attend and view the interviews.

Interviewing Wednesday are:

Teresa A Davison

Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the Mabton, Washington School District.  Davison has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Portland, a Master’s Degree from the University of Oregon and Superintendent Certification from Washington State University.

Monty Sabin

Former superintendent of the Moses Lake School District. Sabin has a Bachelor’s Degree from Brigham Young University, a Master’s Degree from Heritage University and Superintendent Certification from Washington State University.

Interviewing Thursday are:

Dr. Thomas Brandt

Executive Director of the Hillcrest Vertical Team in the Dallas, Texas Independent School District. Dr. Brandt has a Bachelor’s Degree from Marshal State University, a Master’s Degree from the University of North Texas and a Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin.

Kristina Duncan

Principal at Pioneer Middle School in Walla Walla. Duncan has a Bachelor’s Degree from Whitman College, a Master’s Degree from Eastern Washington University and National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification.

Final Interviews are scheduled for March 11, 12, 13.  A community forum will be held each night with the candidate interviewing that day. The community forums are open to the public and begin at 6:00 pm and will be held in the Waitsburg Elementary School Library.
