Change of Student Schedules Beginning January 4, 2023
Due to changes in staff at Preston Hall Middle School, students’ class schedules will change slightly when they return from winter break, beginning January 4, 2023.
Students in the 6th grade will have the following class schedule:
- 1st period: Music Mrs. Jagelski and Mrs. Henderson
- 2nd period: ELA Mrs. Henderson
- 3rd period: Math Mrs. Henderson
- 4th period: Reading Mrs. Henderson
- 5th period: History Mrs. Henderson
- 6th period: Art Mrs. Henderson
- 7th period: P.E. with Mr. Hansen (in January)
- Science with Mr. Nechodom (February – June)
Students in the 7th grade will have the following class schedule:
- 1st period: Science Mr. Nechodom
- 2nd period: Washington State History Mrs. Ball
- 3rd period: Music
- (if your student is currently in Music they will remain in music for the entire school year).
- Exploration
- (if your student is currently in Robotics, your student will switch to Exploration with Mr. Nechodom).
- Note: students will not be allowed to switch from Music to Exploration. Music is a full year commitment.
- 4th period: ELA Ms. Ball
- 5th period: Math Mr. Nechodom
- 6th period: ELA Enrichment Mrs. Ball
- 7th period: Exploration with Mr. Nechodom (in January)
- P.E. with Mr. Hansen (February – June)
Students in the 8th grade will have the following class schedule:
- 1st period: Health/P.E. Mr. Hansen
- 2nd period: Introduction to Agricultural Science Mrs. Abel
- 3rd period: Social Studies Ms. Ball
- 4th period: Science Mr. Nechodom
- 5th period: ELA Ms. Ball
- 6th period: Math Mr. Nechodom
- 7th period: Music
- (if your student is currently in Music they will remain in music for the entire school year).
- Middle School Yearbook
- (if your student is currently in Robotics, your student will switch to Middle School Yearbook with Ms. Ball).
- Note: students will not be allowed to switch from Music to Middle School Yearbook with Ms. Ball. Music is a full year commitment.
Preston Hall Staff are excited to offer these class changes to our students. These changes will ensure that our students receive instruction from highly qualified Washington State certified instructors in each subject area.
IMPORTANT – Parents and students: the last date to turn in MISSING assignments for your current classes will be December 16, 2022. No missing assignments will be able to be added to gradebooks after December 16, 2022. Please note: we will remain in current classes December 19 and December 20 and assignments will be given and recorded on those two dates. Students will want to turn in all missing assignments for their current classes by December 16, 2022. Teachers and students will start with new classes and gradebooks January 4, 2023.
