
**COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Available to Waitsburg Students Ages 12+ on May 19th.**
Walla Walla Health Department is hosting a vaccination clinic to provide FREE COVID-19 vaccines to any interested Waitsburg students ages 12 and older. The vaccine clinic will take place on Wednesday, May 19 from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Waitsburg High School gymnasium. The COVID-19 vaccine is NOT required for students. Winter Sports Parent Meeting - May 2nd
The “Winter" school sports season begins May 10th and is scheduled to run through June 19th. This will include girls and boys high school basketball and cheerleading. The Dayton-Waitsburg Wolfpack will be hosting a PARENT MEETING in the Dayton High School auditorium on Sunday, May 2nd at 5 PM. The meeting provides an opportunity for coaches to communicate with players and parents to set the expectations for the season, provide practice and game schedules, and to make sure everyone gets clearance paperwork completed. The softball game vs. Cle Elum, originally scheduled for Thursday, April 29th, has been cancelled and will not be made up due to scheduling conflicts.

We're so excited to see students back in-person FULL-TIME next week on Monday, April 19th! School begins at 8:30 AM each day. On Wednesdays only, school will get out 20 minutes early at 2:40 PM (early release for collaboration, staff meetings, and professional development). School gets out at 3:00 PM on all other days.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Meals will not be served during Spring Break. The final week of ‘to go’ meal service for Waitsburg students will begin April 12th, in preparation for all students returning to full-time in-person learning the following week. Please make sure to sign up before April 7th if you plan to pick up meals during that last week of service. Thank you for your continued support of our food service program.

Following today's updated guidance from DOH and Governor Inslee, Waitsburg School District will be moving forward with ongoing planning effortsl to return all Waitsburg students K-12 to in-person learning by mid- to late-April. We will send an update with a specific timeline to families no later than April 2nd (prior to spring break).

Waitsburg Elementary conferences are next week! Conferences take place from Monday, March 29th through Thursday, April 1st from 4:00-6:00 PM. Parents/guardians of elementary students should sign up for Parent Teacher conferences through Class Tag. If you have not already done so, make sure to check your Class Tag account to sign up!

The 2021-2022 Waitsburg School District calendar was approved at the February 18th board meeting and is online now at https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/976857/2020-2021_School_Calendar_Updated_10-21-2020.pdf. This current version is in anticipation of starting the 2021-2022 school year following a "normal" five day per week, full-time calendar. If needed, the district will make necessary modifications based on COVID health and safety mandates and communicate any changes accordingly.

Reminder for Waitsburg School Families: Make sure to pre-order your meals online each week at https://bit.ly/3awlrnS. Families wishing to continue receiving meals for students at home must preorder online and pick up the meals from school. Orders must be received no later than Wednesdays at 5:00 PM for pick up the following week. Meals can be picked up between 8:00-9:00 AM on Mondays or Thursdays.
